There's no build fee, and no hosting bill for your first three months. After that, you pay only what your site actually costs to run — rounded up to the next dollar, never marked up.
For a typical site that's about $3 a month — the minimum, and genuinely what it costs us to keep your site online.
A bigger or custom build — one that needs extra computing power, storage, or bandwidth — is priced the same honest way, from what its own resources actually use. Whatever the number, we put it in writing before it ever applies, and re-check it each year.
What we ask in return

A footer credit and backlink
A small line and link in your site's footer — "Website donated and cared for by RaizHost." Visible, never intrusive.
An honest testimonial
A few honest sentences about the experience, once your site is live, that we can share with other nonprofits and future clients.

Who qualifies
Any US 501(c)(3), verified in IRS records
We verify your organization's status directly against IRS records before any build is scheduled. A state charity registration alone isn't enough — you need active federal 501(c)(3) status.
Two builds a month, waitlisted
We only take on two nonprofit builds each month so every site gets real attention. If both slots are taken, you're placed on the waitlist for the next month.
Smaller organizations get priority
We prioritize the organizations where a new site changes the most — smaller, resource-strapped nonprofits over larger ones with an existing web budget.

RaizHost is one person in the High Desert building websites for local businesses. We give a couple of these away to nonprofits each month because, honestly, it's how a small business like ours grows — a credit line in your footer, a good word from people the community trusts, a well-built site out there doing its job. You get a real website; we get to be known for good work. That's the whole trade, and we'd rather say it plainly than dress it up.

Yes. Once your site is live, it's yours — the site, the files behind it, and your own domain. The only ongoing pieces are the small footer credit and the at-cost hosting described above, and you're free to end the hosting whenever you like.
You go on the waitlist and roll into the next month's two slots — we take organizations in the order they qualify. We only build two nonprofit sites a month so each one gets real attention, and we give priority to smaller organizations where a new site makes the biggest difference.
It moves to at-cost hosting: you pay only what your site actually costs us to run on AWS, rounded up to the next dollar, with a $3/month minimum. For a typical site that lands right at about $3. We tell you the exact number before your free months end, so there's never a surprise.
Yes. The site and its files are yours and your domain is registered to you, so you can move to another host whenever you want — we'll help you export everything cleanly. There's nothing to buy back, because the build was a gift.
We build the structure, design, and pages with you. You know your mission best, so the words about your programs and the people you serve come from you — and we help shape and edit them so everything reads clearly and meets the same accessibility bar as the rest of the site.
